Volvo Trucks signs the MoU for first electric truck with DSV Air & Sea Singapore
Volvo Trucks and DSV Air & Sea have signed an MoU to accelerate the shift to zero exhaust emission vehicles in Singapore. The Volvo FL electric would largely be used for urban transportation.
Volvo Trucks is pleased to announce the first delivery of an electric truck in Taiwan to WRC PACIFIC, LTD (WRCP). The delivery took place at Taikoo Kaohsiung Flagship Service Center, belonging to national dealer Taikoo Commercial Vehicles. WRCP becomes the proud owner of a Volvo FE electric truck, demonstrating its firm commitment to green transportation and recognizing the leadership of Volvo Trucks in electric trucks and Taikoo in the supply of commercial vehicles. WRCP, Volvo Trucks and Taikoo Commercial Vehicles are joining forces in Taiwan to move towards a zero-emissions future.
Volvo Trucks has delivered an electric truck for heavy transport to a haulier in Gothenburg, Sweden. The truck can handle a total weight of 74 tonnes.

Volvo Group launches world’s first electric truck safety app with AR technology for first responders
Building on its long heritage of safety innovations, Volvo Group is the first truck manufacturer to launch an Augmented Reality (AR) safety app for electric trucks, designed specifically to support first responders in an emergency. The app is developed to deliver instant, valuable information from the electric truck to the emergency services team arriving on the scene to guide them in real-time and ensure safe rescue conditions.
Volvo Trucks leads the market for heavy electric trucks after the first quarter of 2023, both in Europe and in North America. In total, the Swedish truck manufacturer has sold almost 5,000 electric trucks in about 40 countries. Now, its electric product range is being made available in new markets in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Volvo Trucks and Boliden collaborate on deployment of underground electric trucks for mining
Volvo Trucks and mining company Boliden now joining forces to implement electric truck transport in underground environments.
Volvo Trucks has developed a line of heavy electric trucks which are customized for the construction industry. By using electric trucks, companies can now meet the increasing demand for vehicles with lower noise levels and zero exhaust emissions at and around urban construction sites.
Last year, the number of heavy electric trucks on the roads in Europe and the United States grew faster than ever before. Volvo Trucks have now sold more than 4 300 electric trucks globally in more than 38 countries. In Europe, Volvo Trucks is the market leader with a 32% share of the market for heavy electric trucks, and in North America, nearly half of all heavy electric trucks registered in 2022 were Volvo trucks.

Volvo Trucks’ electric, connected and autonomous vehicle Vera will form part of an integrated solution to transport goods from a logistics centre to a port terminal in Gothenburg, Sweden. The assignment is a result of a new collaboration between Volvo Trucks and the ferry and logistics company, DFDS.
