Volvo Trucks has received the prestigious industry award for its full electric range. This is the company's eighth win, and the second time Volvo FH Electric has won the International Truck of the Year, recognizing electric transport as a viable option for more applications than ever before.

Volvo Trucks has now started series production of its new generation of heavy-duty electric trucks, including the Volvo FH Aero Electric with extended range – capable of driving up to 700 km on a single charge*.

Volvo Trucks is once again raising the bar for electric truck transport. The company launches an electric truck with longer range that can handle a total weight of up to 80 tonnes – a new benchmark when it comes to heavy electric truck transport.

Volvo Trucks’ most fuel-efficient engines ever are here – two all-new 13-liter engines ready for renewable diesel and gas fuel types, including future hydrogen applications. Both are based on Volvo’s latest in-house developed engine platform.

Volvo Trucks continues to excel in Euro NCAP’s safety ratings with yet another test awarding Volvo FM with the maximum result of five stars. Seven Volvo truck models have now received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP, emphasizing Volvo’s no-compromise focus on safety.

Volvo Trucks keeps pushing the boundaries for electric truck transport. With the launch of its new electric trucks with improved performance, flexibility and ranges up to 700 km, this is a new benchmark for electric heavy-duty trucks.

Volvo has begun on-road testing of heavy trucks powered by hydrogen combustion engines. Volvo’s hydrogen solution is industry-leading, and the commercial launch will take place before 2030.

For the second year in a row, Volvo Trucks is the market leader in Europe for heavy-duty trucks. In 2025, the company had an overall market share in Europe of 19.0%.

Volvo’s popular battery-electric medium duty truck – the Volvo FL Electric – is now coming in a 14-tonne entry level version with new battery configuration, making it an ideal transport tool for the city.
